I want I want I want.......

The Mr. and I have been going through quite the storm, and I have been a bit lax on my blog duties - so for that I apologize. Just keep us in your prayers and we will be sure and do the same for you all.

Now, my annual what I want if I could have something ridiculous moment.

My sweet father in law bought me a bike a few years back. We don't ride bikes. They sit in our garage. We talk about riding bikes often. That's about as far as it goes - talk.

My sister's boyfriend recently designed his own bike online & while searching for something cute for my sister in law's new apartment for Christmas, I stumbled upon the amazing  bikes they have these days @ Urban Outfitters. Design your own bike! YES! I can make it as silly as I'd like - from the handle bar colors to the tires! My favorite two designs so far are these.......

I can't decide.....I probably will never have to. But for a short $399.00 I can make that very decision. That, and the decision to get on a bike and actually utilize the things I've been given. But that's another post.

Love you guys! I hope your Thanksgiving was full of yummy food and precious time with your friends and family

Christmas Card Time!

Colder weather, hot coco, a new coat, and CHRISTMAS CARDS. These things all get me started into the Holiday season that will be here before we know it! This year I am ready for everything that entails......

Allow me to introduce you to my buddy Ben. He's a weirdo for sure, and always finds a way to put me in my place, but I think I'll keep him around a while..........

We met back in the High School days (mine at least) and it's safe to say he's been a HUGE help in my journey through this picture taking thing. Nothing better that determining what an acronym means in a 5 minute phone call rather than a ton of research, and he has been a HUGE help after breaking out into wedding photography as well. Ladies, apart from being a fabulous photographer, he's also single. Mind you, he lives in Charleston, but what a gorgeous place to move to be closer to your new fling :) sorry Ben...........

It's Christmas card time. This year we realized we couldn't resort to the easy wedding day photo, so Ben came over and was a HUGE success in helping us get a few shots to use.

Here is one from a recent engagement session he had in Auburn. They rolled Toomer's ...... genius if you ask me!
We are looking forward to seeing them all, but here are a few he had in a peek recently to hold us over.....
I HAD to get a photo of me in my wedding gown being carried over the threshold of our new home! I credit this idea to my beautiful friend, Cana. Her husband had a romantic itch and had her change into her gown before entering their first home. I just loved the idea & with her permission, used it for our first home as well :)
And our little one always looking out the front door was a necessary shot
Just a typical day for us........honestly, Ben put us like this, but Joey IS the one who spent hours hanging these frames so it was true to character for sure.
This is the part where I wait patiently for our photos to arrive in the mailbox and hope that I can find time to address Christmas cards this year. I'm pooped out and have quite a lot going on, but if I do without having a life for one last weekend I'm sure I can get it all done. Happy Sunday. I thought to myself Friday leaving work, this weekend will be over before I know it. Guess what? IT IS :(

It's official!

Fall arrived yesterday. Can I tell? Not even a teeny tiny bit. I
despise winter, and I'm not fond of the extreme heat either. I
am MOST content however, in the spring and fall. The only
problem with Alabama is that those "seasons" last ummm about
2 weeks if we're lucky. Shopping & browsing lately has gotten
me excited about embracing the fall with a few of my usual
staples & even made me
consider branching out to a few more things this time around.
as usual, my fingerless gloves from Amanda will be making an appearance. I'm not quite sure where in NY she got them, but I wish I had about 30 pair.
and for sat/sunday dress? why one of my million boyfriend tees. They certainly make being "sloppy" a little cuter in my opinion.
& meet my face obsession. . . Laura Mercier foaming cleanser. I have DRY skin, always have, and winters are especially harsh to my face. I recently discovered this little bottle & quickly realized
it would be playing an important role in my winter face washing routine.

And after a bit of a hunt, my blazer collection is complete. I found this cutie pie @ JCrew and am happy to say that navy can be checked off the list. black, grey, creme, and navy should hold me over this winter.

& maybe one last thing on my wish list. This scarf also from JCrew caught my eye. I also spotted one at Banana Republic that would do the trick. Something not too heavy, but not solid. I have every solid color in the world, I'm ready for a little plaid.

Yay for things like roasting marshmellows, hot coco, & cuddling on the couch. Now if we could only get rid of this whole "90 degrees in late September thing".......
